Our days are taking on a new schedule. Daddy went back to work yesterday and now Mommy and Carolyn are feeling their way. Carolyn is developing a more predictable sleep pattern for nights which usually means a feeding and changing around 11 or 12 and then around 3. We all have been getting up again around 6, Daddy to go to work Mommy and Carolyn for another feeding/changing. Mommy and Carolyn proceed to go back to sleep until around 8, when they get up to do it all over again. The never ending cycle here is Carolyn eating/being changed/sleeping. There is usually some spit up involved now and again; as well as some tummy time about once a day and some bouts of awake/alertness. Daddy has been coming home to the girls taking naps.
It is weird to not have Daddy here during the day, but we are surviving. It will certainly get better with time.
The McAllister's are certainly doing well. Parenthood seems to be agreeing with Mommy and Daddy, if only a few more winks of sleep were involved (though we can't say we didn't know that was a hazard beforehand). It's all worth it when we look at our precious girl.
