Well friends, we are on the move. We found out last week and we announced at the churches yesterday that Heather is being appointed to a new church this summer (transferred in other words) . Effective July 1, Heather will be the pastor at Calvary United Methodist Church in Lemoyne, PA. Lemoyne is across the river from Harrisburg. We are staying close to the area we are in currently. In the near future we will get our new address e-mailed out to family and friends. The move date is yet to be determined, but will be between the middle and end of June. We should be getting that date by the end of May after the move committee gets together and sets up the dates of when the various pastors will move out/in of their old appointments and into their new appointments.
This will be a big change for Heather. In seven years of pastoral ministry she has had three churches (for 3 years) and then 2 churches (for the last almost 4 years). One church will be a big switch. It seems that there will be space for her to do some of the things she is passionate about (creative worship using the arts, visuals, music, etc.) as well as be part of the children's and family ministries. As the details of our move unfold we will keep you posted.
