Today started off on an unusual foot. No, Carolyn didn't revolt and break out of her crib, not yet anyway. Scott didn't have to work, so he was helping Heather get out the door with Carolyn, the baby stuff, and Heather's work bag. While the door was open with the humans of our house going through the door, Joey decided to make a break for it. Before we knew it little man was several yards up the road and past the neighbor's house. This isn't the first time Joey has made a break for it. Back in the fall, Joey made it out and almost got trampled by a horse at the farm about 1/4 mile up the road. Today it was run towards the farm, run back towards the house, run from mommy and daddy, overshoot the house and run towards the state highway, run from mommy, run back towards the house, run away from daddy, run around two different neighbors houses, run back towards the state highway, run from mommy, then through some grass, run from daddy, see mommy, run towards her, mommy sees car coming, mommy screams "Joey, no..." Car stops, Joey jumps in mommy arms, Scott gives Heather CPR to revive her from the heart attack of almost loosing their first baby. sigh... Really no one passed out, but it was one of those moments. Heather made enough of a commotion with non-verbals that the car slowed down and stopped before any tragedy happened. All this time Carolyn is patiently waiting in the car sucking her thumb. Twenty minutes after Heather was headed out the door to work she finally got in the car to go to work. Take a look at our jail breaker in a fenced in area:
Hopefully your day was a little less hectic than ours. God bless!!!
